Project Story
-
Many women have valuable home-based skills, like cooking, embroidery, and handicrafts—but lack the support, structure, and access needed to turn those skills into reliable income.
Without training, branding, and market access, these talents often remain informal and underutilized. At the same time, young people struggle to find meaningful job opportunities, especially in areas like marketing and sales.
-
Touch of a Woman helps women transform their existing skills into sustainable, income-generating businesses.
The project provides training and support to improve product quality and consistency, while also creating a unified brand that allows women to market and sell their products more easily.
At the same time, the initiative creates opportunities for youth involvement in marketing and sales, building a system where different members of the community contribute to and benefit from the project.
-
When women are able to turn their skills into income, it strengthens not only their independence but also the stability of their families.
By combining women’s entrepreneurship with youth employment, the project creates a more connected and sustainable local economy. It ensures that skills are not just preserved, but transformed into real opportunities for growth.
At its core, Touch of a Woman is about recognizing the value already within the community, and turning it into something that can thrive.
Project Updates
March 30th Update
We created an Instagram page called “Lamsat_aimraa” and a website for the project that makes it easy to access and browse the products.
April 20th Update
After securing funding, we purchased the necessary filming equipment, including a camera, tripod, and microphone. We then began filming, producing an introductory video explaining the project's concept with the help of several participants. We also filmed one of the participating women, a mother of a martyr from the town of Arura, who has a passion for baking bread and pastries. She started this project to support her family and secure a source of income. We were keen to support and encourage her by providing her with the necessary supplies to help her develop and sustain her project. We will now edit the videos before publishing them on our Instagram page, where we will explain the project's details and objectives in a clear and engaging way for our audience.
April 28th Update
We interviewed women from Deir Ghassaneh, Beit Rima, and Arura, who explained their projects to us. We will publish these projects on our Instagram page and provided them with some support to help their projects. We also published other small projects to support and raise awareness about them.
April 28th Update
We produced an introductory video about the project and posted it on our Instagram page. We also promoted the project through university and village groups, as well as on our personal page. A number of interested entrepreneurs from various areas (Arura, Yatma, Ammuriya, As-Sawiya, Salfit) contacted us.

We published more projects we want to support and contacted many other women.
May 2nd Update
We partnered with a charitable organization in Beita (a village south of Nablus) that produces sweets, soaps, and dishwashing liquid using authentic, natural Palestinian ingredients. This organization comprises 27 women, all of whom are the sole breadwinners for their families, and we encourage them to continue their work by promoting these products. Today, we have reached over 143 strong and inspiring women through our Instagram page, direct communication, and through the women themselves.
