About Us

The Palestinian Students Scholarship Fund (PSSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting disadvantaged Palestinian students in higher education. Each year, the PSSF provides numerous college scholarships to Palestinian students from cities including Haifa, Jaffa, Akka, Jerusalem, Nazareth and more. The PSSF currently offers scholarships to a select group of students at Al-Quds University, the University of Haifa, and Bethlehem University.

The Palestinian Students Scholarship Fund (PSSF) was established in 2017 by a group of Palestinian-Americans in Chicago. In their numerous visits to Palestine over the years, our founders discovered a severe lack of funding and support for Palestinian university students. These Palestinian students, and particularly those students with Israeli citizenship, face a significant amount of challenges, financial burdens, and discrimination that is often overlooked. The PSSF was created to provide the financial support that these students desperately need in order to overcome the difficulties and challenges they face in their pursuit of academic success in higher education.

Members of the PSSF Board of Directors travel to Palestine every year, at their own expense, to visit with the scholarship recipients and the administration at the partnered universities. These trips allow the Palestinian Students Scholarship Fund(PSSF) to foster strong relationships with the students and universities, and it ensures that the PSSF continues to accomplish its mission of assisting underprivileged Palestinian students succeed in higher education.
